This three-day adventure whisks you by private charter helicopter from your chosen starting location to some of Scotland’s most rugged and captivating outposts, exploring the Kintyre Peninsula, Islay and Arran.

Three remarkable links courses
At the heart of the adventure are three courses, each offering a completely different experience of west coast golf.
Machrihanish Golf Club (Old) - At the tip of the Kintyre Peninsula, Machrihanish is one of Scotland’s great golfing experiences. The course runs alongside the Atlantic, with several holes played hard against the coastline and the famous opening tee shot demanding a drive over the beach. Wild, natural and exhilarating.
The Machrie Golf Links - On Islay, The Machrie is a beautifully secluded links set amongst dunes, machair and ocean scenery. With the landscape constantly revealing something new, it is a course that rewards imagination as much as precision.
Shiskine Golf Club - Few courses can match Shiskine for atmosphere. Set on the south-west coast of Arran beneath the dramatic slopes of Holy Isle, this compact and wonderfully quirky links is full of character. This is golf as it should be, informal, natural, fun and utterly inseparable from its surroundings.
Your private island house on Islay
Your base for the adventure is Cairnmore House, an elegant private residence overlooking Port Ellen Bay on Islay. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the seven-bedroom house offers the perfect retreat after a day spent on the links or exploring the islands. Return to your own private haven, relax in comfort and take in the ever-changing views across the landscape and sea.
A taste of Scotland
Scotland boasts some of the finest produce in the world. A true abundance of nature's larder from the cold seas and rivers to the lush fields, forests and glens. Up until relatively recently, the problem was that there was no one to cook it. That all changed in the 1990s with Gordon Ramsay, and he has been followed by a plethora of talent from Tom Kitchin and Nick Nairn to Lorna McNee and Tony Singh. If the conditions are favourable, we may be able to splash down near Monachyle Mhor and meet chef and entrepreneur Tom Lewis who prepares langoustines just as we like them. Hot and fresh with butter and garlic!
Jura beyond the fairways
If the stars align and we are able to visit Jura with you, the non-golfing guests will be engaged and occupied. We can arrange with Willie for you to hop in the Argo all-terrain vehicle to venture up into the hillside to spot a stag, or we can introduce you to Claire from Lussa Gin who will tell you about how she arrived on the island to shoot a video of the band KLF over 25 years ago and never left. Because Bravo Whisky Golf experiences are as much about the people we know as the places we visit.
