Partnership with Trees for Life
BWG are delighted to announce our partnership with Trees for Life, the multi-award winning conservation charity. We have been aware for some time that although enormously fun and time-efficient, flying our guests privately around Scotland (and further afield) does not come without consequence. So, with some focused research, we have uncovered the wonderful organisation, Trees for Life, to help offset the impact that Bravo Whisky Golf and its guests have on the environment. Rather than being just one of the many “off the shelf” carbon offset corporate offerings, this initiative is close to home and is therefore close to our hearts as well.
Based in the Scottish Highlands, Trees for Life, has been dedicated to conserving and reviving the once great Caledonian Forest for over 25 years. Far from just planting trees, their grand plan is to rewild the Highlands, with a diverse series of objectives from reintroducing the red squirrel to protecting the beaver population and encouraging Golden Eagles to return to their old haunts. This holistic approach will not only help sequester atmospheric carbon but greatly increase the biodiversity of the region. t is our sincere wish (but by no means obligatory) that our valued guests share our enthusiasm for the Trees for Life Charity. So, henceforth, we will be offering our guests the opportunity to make a donation. There is also the distinct possibility that during their Bravo Whisky Golf adventure that our guests will fly directly over the very land that they are helping to protect and nurture.
Asides from a purely financial contribution Paul and Neil also propose to get their manicured hands properly dirty and as soon as they are able, will be signing up for a day or two in the Highlands tree planting and we will be sure to share their experience as a forthcoming news feature.
